Frequently Asked Questions

Is my home suitable?

Suitability Criteria: If your roof faces between south-west to south-east and is not over-shadowed by trees or buildings then your roof should be suitable subject to it being strong enough to take the additional weight, our Surveyor will advise if a structural survey is necessary. If you do not have a suitable roof it may still be possible to have a PV system either on a suitable outbuilding or on a ground mounted frame, please contact us for further information.

Do I need planning permission?

In England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, you will not require planning permission for a domestic PV system subject to certain criteria being met, our Surveyors will be pleased to advised you. However we advise you to contact your local planning officer particularly if your home is a listed building, is in a conservation area, an area of outstanding natural beauty or a world heritage site.

Do you provide 'Free' systems?

Generally, free systems or roof / land rental deals are only available to our larger commercial customers, property portfolio owners, and land owners where the financial returns justify the considerable investment by our investors. We prefer our domestic customers to invest in their own systems and to benefit from the long-term income and savings rather than receiving a nominal fee and a faceless finance company reaping the majority of the benefit. Further information on 'Free PV' can be found at:

What is the return on investment?

Our highly competitive pricing structure results in us achieving returns on investment for our customers generally between 9% - 12% per annum. Detailed figures will be provided following a site survey, please contact us to arrange.
